expect that? The success of “Ai Se Eu Te Pego” broadcast the name of Brazilian Singer
Michel Teló not only to the United States, but also to several European
countries. Besides being in 94 on
Billboard Hot 100, the hit hás become a fever in Europe and it is in the Top 10
in Czech Republic, Ukraine, Denmark, Holland, Hungary, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland
and, also, it occupies the first place in Russia. Just like Teló,
Gustavo Lima has put his song “Balada” on the forth place in Switzerland,
second place in France, and First place in Belgian and Holland. It seems like “sertanejo
universitário (Universitary Country music – a new brazilian rythm) has pleased
not only the Brazilians and maybe it has becoming a new mark of Brazil all
around the world. Who could say that songs with such simple chorus would be
quite huge bombs in such distant countries. It is Brazil showing its power!
