Billboard Magazine pointed that, since the beginning
of the year, only three artists managed to sell more than 200.000 records in
their first week in the United States, and, according to the magazine, they are
three women: Carrie Underwood with Blown
Away (267.000), Madonna with MDNA
(358.000) and Nicki Minaj with Pink
Friday: Roman Reloaded (253.000). They definitely don’t stop going higher.

The American series House, one of the most successful show of recent years, is going to
end after eight seasons. Its creator, David Shore, said that the final episode
will be bittersweet. “We never do happy endings”, pointed David.

The 14º Brazilian Cinema Festival is taking place in
Paris since last Wednesday. More than 30 movies are being shown. Just like
2011, the festival is paying homage to Brazilian prolific writer Jorge Amado.
By the way, the movie chosen to open the festival was Capitães de Areia, based on the homonymous writer’s novel.
